More pets going to work
July 31st, 2008 Posted in Pets GuideIt’s not uncommon for pet owners to put their animals on pedestals. They show up in family portraits on the living room mantle. Their names are signed on Christmas cards and some even share the bed.
Clearly, pets rule the roost at many of our homes, but some people’s love and adoration for animals is so strong that their four-legged pals have made the leap from sofas to the workplace.
Animals have the run of Steepwater Surf in Westport. Two blue heelers can be seen sniffing around surfboards or monitoring activity at the counter almost daily.
Their names are Hawaiian. Nalu, or “Wave” and Kaya, “Ocean” are just over a year old. Paul Vadovich manages the store and owns the pair.
