Purr-fect Place for Pets

They survived at best in the village dump or on the streets.

But thanks to Tom and Sue Lawson, cats taken in have a five-star lodging facility to spend their time in.

The Lawsons came up with the funding to renovate a former woodworking shop. It is now a top-notch pet house for cats. It is equipped to give the animals all the attention they need before they are adopted.

“Before they leave here to go to another home they get spayed and neutered. They get a bath, nails clipped and all for a low cost,” says Valery Nadeau, who manages the pet house.

The cats can live out their natural lives here if they are not adopted. The new facility can hold up to 120 animals. The animals spend most of the day with other cats doing whatever they like.

Here at the Adirondack Pet House you can not only adopt a cat but take it home to enjoy. If for some reason you have to give them up you can return the cat here and they will find another home for it.

The million dollar facility has air conditioning and air filtration to make breathing easier. For nearly two years, Nadeau sheltered 20 stray cats in her own home. She said that cats had a lot of freedom in her home and they will have the same freedom here.
